Servers provide customers with more than their meals; these team members must act cordially toward guests, answer all questions with a strong familiarity of the menu, and maintain a strong relationship with the guest to ensure a quality experience, particularly with their food. Servers must work well in a team environment and maintain an upbeat personality even in a fast-paced environment. Individuals must be friendly, outgoing, organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Candidates must offer availability on a regular basis, including lunch and dinner shifts as well as weekends.
Responsibilities to include:
- Serve food courses and non/alcoholic beverages to guests
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
- Check-in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc. throughout the day
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
- Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment
